Frist Week

Hey guys
I know you we're waiting to hear about me first day of school.
once school started it was like i hit the ground running. it was go, go, go, go!
I have too read 2 Chapters of the bible a day and the book i'm reading
right now i have to read 21 pg. a day!
School is five hours a day from tuesday-friday
and then we have to go to one of the sunday morning services and one of the evening services, they tell you which one to go to based one what 'Relive Group' you're in.
My other two roommates are in the same RG and i am in a different one.
But people are really nice!
on Thursday night my RG had a party at the park, and this guys named Gorden gave me a ride, he is from Indiana, lol i didn't even know where that was so we had a fun time
trying to figure out each others country's geography! anyways i found out where Indiana is!
And i meet other cool people at the party, and some people have interesting names like 'Glasgow, and Scotland' those are really their names!
Anyways i am having a good time here, but i have had some really hard days of
homesickness, which i never have had before!
now i know what it feels like.
One of the things i miss the most is babies! For those of you who don't know
i have four new baby nieces in the last two years!
so i am used to babies everywhere! lol
i mean people here do have babies but its not like they are going to let me hold their child! lol
anyways I will trying to write again when i came
if you have a question write a comment or send me an e-mail!
Love Sarah-Lynn

  1. Hi Sarah-Lynn
I have been sitting in suspence all week
checking to see if you are still doing o.k.
Glad to see you are I hope this homesickness goes
away as you get involved in your classes. I can't
say it really does because it really can make you sick. My 1st yr at Bible School I had a little sister 5yrs old and just going to school I waited 13yrs.for her and I missed most of her going up.
Family is important but just be glad they all love you and praying for you. With great Joy I pray for you. Love Aunty

  2. Great to hear how you're doing. And I just realized, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! a few weeks too late. :) But that's how my month has been going.
The boys are fitting in great at school. They love it and the teachers are blessed with them.
We were also just blessed with a car. It's a stick, but I'm getting the hang of it :)
Our home is becoming more of a home. More organize and liveable. Eldon and I are going thru some really rough spiritual battles, but God is working. It's very emotional, especially when he doesn't see all the things God is doing as blessings, miracles. To him everything is circumstantial. So if you think of us please pray for wisdom and God to show Himself real to Eldon.
Anyways, I hear clinking of glass upstairs, so I'm gonna go.
Many blessings and joy while you get thru school.
    Miss you
Allena (and Siobhan. she's beside me looking at your pics) :D

  3. Dear Sarah-Lynn,
I think I am still your favorite fan!!! (little BIAS of course!) Sad I still don't have a computer but I was glad to finally read your blog (at Tio Ben's)! I know school will be crazy but GREAT!! Everyone here is missing you...even your nieces! Last night I was babysitting Alexa and she went down to your room and was calling Aunty! I asked her what she was doing she kept asking for AUNTY!! So you are missed here too!! Ruby-Lynn crawls down the hall for you but I stop her. So she looks for you too! But BE BOLD...BE STRONG...for the Lord thy God is with you! Study hard and learn lots! We love you and miss you! You are not forgotten!
    Love and Prayers MOM

  5. Hello pretty girl! I am glad that you are going to be sooooo busy at school. That is the best medicine when you miss home. Keep your mind and heart in the Lord; he will guide you and protect you. I have a little story for you...brother Bob was reading a book about animal's sounds to Alexa. He asks as he reads: what the dog says...wof wof, what the cat says...meaw, meaw...etc. then he asked Alexa, what do you say? she answer rubbing her chest in a circular movement...PLEASE she said! it was really funny. =) we love you and miss you. Take care.
