Where the Road Ends

Where the road ends is where you’ll find me
Alone

I walked the straight and narrow and it leaded me here
Alone

The road meets the dust and disappears
Lost?

I remember behind me, were green valleys
Lush

The mountains I left too
Beauty

But for some time now I’ve walked in the wilderness
Forsaken

It wasn’t so bad at times...I found pools of water
Refreshed

But now the wilderness has ended
Astray

The road meets the dust and disappears
Destitute

I look at the hard road and the sand that overtakes it
Empty

I am scared...I take the first step
Broken

The path is gone and I wonder aimlessly
Fear

Every direction looks the same and I wonder if I’ve walked in circles?
Abandoned

I wind blows against my skin and the sand blinds me
Hate

Pain cesses me...hungry, tired, thirst
Alone

The nights are cold and days worse
Deserted

Have I always walked this desert road?
Desolated

I see you...like a faint whisper
Life?

Are you there? I ask
Help?

I feel arms enclose me
Life!

You softly speck me name and show me the way
Rain

You come like the rain bearing life
Hope

I see the desert behind and I know still have a mountains climb
Love

A Dance Called Love

A dance called love

I was the wall flower standing alone...
I danced a few dances...but my partners were lacking...
Then you came along...

We danced the same dance...
...prefect love...
...harmony...

Our steps were in tune...
...left...right...back...forward...
...like swans in the dance of spring...

At first I was blind by love...
...enthralled...enraptured...
But you were looking over my shoulder...

Your steps began to slow...
I had to lead...
You stepped away...I stepped closer

I couldn’t let you go...
You pushed me further...
And our lovely dance became bitter...

I tried hard to make-up for your slack...
I danced the dance of love for two...
You tried to make me leave...

Couldn’t...
Wouldn’t...
...give you up...

Finally you forced me to fall out of step...
...and...
Our dance which was once like a symphony of light...

Become a blackened ballad...
The dance of love was meant for two...
Now I stand alone...

Love Affair

Love Affair

I’ve looked upon your lovely face all my days,
Every line, sketched in my memory,
For you are the loveliest maiden of them all,

Clothed in white linen, I’m driven to insanity,
Like a groom waits for his bride,
But you, oh lover, are a secret,

I must turn my eye away from your majestic face,
I try, you know I do...
But I can’t, you’re a temptress...

Your wise and royal face, always pull me back,
Pull me in...
I love you, can’t live without you

But now you know, that my love for you is a secret,
You’re hurt,
I know but it must stay this way,

Where have you hidden yourself oh lover?
I’ve looked for you, but I can’t find you
My love for you grows stronger with each passing day

You are my strength and comfort,
Long has the nights been that you were the only one there,
You’ve my light!

You taunt me...always within site but...
If I could only touch you,
And run my hands over your face

How I long to hear you laugh again,
Like in summer,
When you shine so bright

But now its fall and soon it will be winter,
And the site of your divine face I must forgo,
But with spring comes a new promise of hope,

Dare I whisper your name dear lover?
Dare I tell the world of our love affair?
Should I let your name part my lips?

I can’t!
I will!
I must!

....lover of mine...I have to speck your name
Let the world know that you the one I love...
